Old frame with lots of love and labor. Not your typical 1 day paintjob, this took around a week.

Walk me through it please, I want to paint my frame

Lots of sanding, starting with coarse working to fine, then a good rub down with rubbing alcohol.

Hang it up and then rub down again, prime evenly and paint. sand the trouble spots and take your time.

why would you paint it if you are trying to break it?

Warranty is running out soon, and if I don't break it I don't want to be stuck with a **** brown bike. Plus I inspected for cracks and such, only found out how bad it's bent and how stupid the welds on the seat tube junction are.

And I had nothing better to do.

That blue is pretty smexy. I really want to paint my bike. I'm thinking of doing my rims purple and my frame the highlighter yellow like Aaron Ross. I don't know what I would paint the bars, but they'd change too.

Hah. I've given up on painting my frame, it will never look as good as a stock color or professional job. I'll be rawing my frame soon, and i'm having a friend powder coat my bars and forks black. That way i can't screw it up.

I wish there was a way to rid of the rust.. that be soo nice... I dont care if i have to paint it a differnt color.. as long as the rust is gone. :D

And i found a site where they sell the original stickers thats say redline just like those.

The only thing i cant find is the seat. And i wanna get a lighter handle bar. And black rims.

I also want to somehow replace that fork, or gake off those little things.... on the fork.

And about the pedals and crank..

I dont know what to replace em with.. :S
