Powdercoat, I shot it myself cause my family does it.

minichamp31 01-06-09 02:56 PM

That's niceee.

CMcMahon 01-06-09 05:11 PM

As good as Director forks are (or, at least, seem to be) strength-wise, I can't stand the way that they look. On the off-chance that you did manage to bend them, how the hell would you even be able to tell?

live4muzic2 01-06-09 08:35 PM

They may feel funny? But I doubt I'll kill them riding street. I hate Dirt, and not a fan of park.

Punx 01-06-09 08:59 PM

Your lucky, powdercoating looks like it's the way to go!

I would be more worried about bending a pair of forks riding street than park or dirt...

live4muzic2 01-07-09 11:10 PM

Its just that, I kinda have more tendencies to nose dive jumps then gaps i guess. And how otherwise would I bend them besides bailing?

CMcMahon 01-08-09 02:51 PM

I don't know, but it happens; I've seen a lot more forks bent away from the frame that I have the other way, because you usually throw the bike away from you when you're going to nosecase a double.

In related news, I sprocket-cased a five-foot tall, nine-foot long, easy-as-hell double this morning out at the trails, and ended up with a swollen hip, bruised ribs, and a what's probably a low-level concussion. The moral of this story is to remember that you need to carve the berm higher and pump a little harder when the dirt in front of the lip is a bit muddy. Alternatively, remember to always have two lighters at any given time, in case one goes out and you can't spark up a bowl.

FuzzyRyder 01-08-09 04:28 PM

lmao good news over all, there is a great moral there.

live4muzic2 01-08-09 04:37 PM
