i just started bmx and was wondering does anyone have any advice on how to get your back tire up in a bunny hop. also when you manual how can you keep going because my front tire always comes back down soon after i get it up.

Search the forums.

thermo 06-26-07 03:35 PM

Yes, that is one way to do it.

But if you are lazy (like most of us) and don't want to search...well, good luck finding someone that has enough time to post a real answer.

You are in luck! I will help the best I can, although I can't bunny hop all that high (a little over a foot is about the max I've done). To get your rear tire off the ground, you will need to first pull up the front tire fairly high. Then (with your toes pointed down as far as you can go on the pedals) bring your feet up as you push out on the handlebars. That should get your rear tire off the ground at least a little ways. With practice, you will soon be hopping higher than me.

Good luck!

Welcome to the forums in which the search function and decent spelling and grammar will be your best friends. There is a large array of information to be found here, many of which can be used by searching for it. If you can not find the information, then you should post a new thread. Bunnyhopping tips are just many of the very common topics of these forums. Thank you for your future cooperation.

Lol that almost sounded automated. You should copy and save that for future postings. ;)

thanks for the help thermo, and fitrider 921, i searched for a long time and only found a couple of threads on bunny hops and they were not very helpful.

I can only hope that you are kidding. Bunnyhop threads are the most common threads there are because most people new to riding come here and don't bother to search and follow the rules, so they just post whatever they want.

EDIT: Thermo, thank you, that's a good idea.

Sounds like ED for bikes.

msson123 06-27-07 01:03 PM

wat?

eightdip 06-27-07 03:47 PM

Spelling, grammer. Mean anything to you?

Try that.

Everybody that knows how to bunny hop has learned from that site. (OK maybe not everybody, but it's still a good site)

msson123 06-27-07 05:58 PM

and can anyone recommend a good starter bike that is fairly light

minichamp31 06-27-07 06:22 PM

DK Six-pack. Stolen Wrap.

thermo 06-27-07 11:42 PM

The Stolen Wrap is a little over 2 pounds lighter than the Six-Pack, so if you want lighter don't get the DK.
