Is this bike worth anything?

This bike was dropped off next to a dumpster in my apartment complex. I took it home with the intention of cleaning it up and selling it on craigslist or something. I don't expect it to be worth much, maybe enoough for a couple cases of beer. While watching TV after I got off work today, I patched the flat rear tube, put on a chain I had laying around, adjusted the headset, and cleaned and regreased the bottom bracket and hubs.

The bike is still missing one pedal, grips, and the front hub is in poor shape. It is rideable, but not in great shape, is it worth anything at all? I figure it is just a cheap x-mart bike (correct me if I'm wrong), is it even worth spending another minute on to try to sell on craigslist?

Thanks,

Mac

I'm pretty sure it's some kind of Mongoose, as it has the same sprocket my Mongoose had. It's also got the same pedals mine had. You will barely get anything from it.

It looks like it is in good condition though. Not too much rust (if any). You should be able to swindle someone and get $20-$40 for it. Just throw on some cheap grips and get some cheap pedals.

There's a chance that those are Elf bars which would have some value. I'd ask around on BMXmuseum.com - someone will know there. And if they do know if they are, they'll probably want them.
The rest is junk.

I don't think it's critical that he get new tires. Just find some cheap pedals at Wal-Mart or K-Mart or Target or something, and some cheap grips. Spend maybe $15 at the most.
