Whats the Difference Between a Cassette hub and a freecoaster hub?
Whats the pro's con's of each. Im not exactly sure what freecoaster
does for you? Could anyone help me out? Thanks. I ride a Mosh Bagley.
Im guessing the stock is Cassette?

A freecoaster engages drive when pedaling forwards, but when rolling backwards the freecoater disengages the drive so that you don't need to pedal backwards, unlike a cassette hub where you do need to do this. The freecoaster in simple terms uses a screw system, when going forwards the screw tightens and when going backwards it loosens. A cassette however uses a normal rachet system these can range from 3 pawl to around 6 pawl designs maybe more. These have evolved from the freewheel that was used originally. Both of these hubs have their advantages and disadvantages, the freecoaster will allow you to roll backwards without pedaling and a cassette won't, although a freecoaster requires more maintenance to check if the engagement system works correctly whereas a cassette does not require this maintenance. Freecoasters and cassette both allow you to replace the drive cog relatively easily but with a freewheel type you need to take the whole thing off to replace it.

I rule with a mighty leg
One of my friends broke his Poverty freecoaster, but they fixed it up and sent it back out. Another one of my friends broke his KHE coaster.

Odyssey doesn't make parts with other names. There are many Odyssey clones in which parts are interchangeable and such.

actually, poverty and geisha internals are nearly identical. They work with driver/clutch/spring set up. The main difference is the sealed driver bearing, coming in 36, and choice of driver sizes. Not to mention a significantly lighter shell. They both will engauge equally well, one will just require a tad more maintenance.
