brake setup

i got a fit flow park and i'm still learning about brakes. It has a gyro setup to a u-brake. I can setup and adjust gyros fine but is a single cable better or is gyro the way to go. Thanks.

I'd either go with a straight cable, or no brakes at all.

I'm just going to try brakeless for a little while.
I think my gyro has bearing issues anyways. It clicks and makes a scraping noise when i turn the bars.

That's just a gyro for you. Mine did the same thing. I'm brakeless now.

breakless isn't going to work for me. i almost got hit 3 times today because i couldn't stop. how much slack should there be in a single cable setup.

You should put as much as slack as you want. It's up to you. If you do barspins or tailwhips you should probably keep a bit extra.

With my cable this long, I can spin 3 times w/ no binding (ody linear cable).
You can probably get by w/ an inch or two shorter. I've since shortened it since this pic.

That's a really cool-looking bike. Post up a bike check.
