So I'm in the market for some parts

I'm thinking about getting a Macneil Pivotal seat post, and an FBM Pivotal Seat (for the Metric). I assume both of those are good choices? And then I might get some new grips while I'm at it (either a pair of Odyssey Team grips or maybe Fly Ruben grips if they are any better), and some Kink Lightest bar ends. Any other parts I might wanna get along with the other stuff?

And since I'll be ordering from danscomp, I'll probably throw in a hoodie (cooler weather isn't too far away it seems that summer started just a week or two ago and it's already over!) and maybe a hat while I'm at it.

BTW does anybody have any recommendations for bike locks? On occasion I'll stop at various places while riding my bike, and I want to be able to lock it up. Since my bike (both actually) aren't worth thousands or anything and I'm not in that bad of a city I probably don't need the greatest lock in the world, but I don't want it a peice of junk.

Well for the bike lock, you can always bring your bike in inside, a lot of the store's let me do that because i hate carrying a lock around. Also i would reccomend the Slam XLT Bar's. I like the oddysey team grip's more, my friend has them on his stp and i really love them.

I usually take my bike inside of stores too, but some places dont want me to. One guy i saw locked his bmx bike with two u-locks; one thru the rear wheel & frame, and the other lock thru the frame & front wheel & the thing to lock up to.

The guy's bike was locked up at the place he worked (bike shop of course), and I doubt he was doing much extreme riding on the commute. But yeah, for regular around town riding (unless you are specifically going to spend a while at a large store/whatever) carrying two U-locks would be strange.

And unless I've missed something I can't find any bike locks on danscomp.com.

And it is why your bike has been stolen five times in the past year. Just kidding. The lock doesn't look that bad (at least I hope it isn't all that bad because it's what I plan on getting).

I use a Kryptonic bike cable lock. I ride my bike EVERYWHERE and it has never gotten stolen with this lock. I think i paid around 13 bucks for it at Kmart.
