bunny hopping

no, im not trying to ask you how to hop. i just wanted to know what a good way to practice getting higher, without just hopping and hopping. right now i can get about 4-5 inches in the back and about a foot or so in the front. and also, how high can you guys hop?

What I did to learn to hop really well was watch people that could hop really well hop. Watch how their body moves and the bike moves with them and just try to emulate that.


*my highest ever is probably only bar end, I can consistantly effortlessly hop stem height or so.

ride all over town and bunnyhop everything. Especially things that will knock you off of your bike of you don't make it. Worked for me.

Practice hopping over cardboard boxes. Doesn't kill you if you don't make it, yet it is way better than trying to just hop over nothing.

And the highest I can hop is around a foot. Since my Hoffman is really heavy, and my Metric has such a short top tube, I can't really hop either one that well.

just go to higher things, ledges, try hoping up higher and higher ledges, or try to hop axel height on rails, thats what I done when I was a little kid

i agree. cardboard boxes work well. and if you love neighbors every small trash bag. i used to have 3 stair now i have 2, but i manual longer.
