Rookie racing Experts
I was told today that due to the lack of cruisers and/or 30+ riders at our track that I would probably be racing against the 14-17 Expert (or is it Elite?) group. This is NBL btw.
I can't figure this out.. will my placings in races be determined by actual finish overall, or against the other age/class in the group?
In other words, am I going to be smoked by these kids week after week and never get any points, or wins?

if you are the only one in your class, you're going to take first every time you race, regardless of your placement against the other classes.

I got my number today.. 101. It's my favorite Sirius channel, and my drink of choice. Couldn't be happier.
Thanks for the info :-)

I am 41 and in my local races it is usually 17 and over cruiser just to get a reasonably full gate. Racing the young guys will make you much better.

Naw this is not true. I'm and Older Racer, and Always race people out of my class. If you are racing say 17 and over rookie, (and your 35) and you are racing 17 yr old experts. If you finish say 3rd you will get 3rd place expert points. Not 1st place rookie points. Make since?

NBL or ABA, herbie?
edit:
from the NBL rulebook:
The transfer or award position in a qualifying race or main is equivalent to the finish position except in those cases where these rules or local track policy provides that classes combined in a single race are to be pointed or trophied separately.
so, it's a track decision. Ask them.
