Flatland

I am interested in getting a flatland bike I would like to build it myself i.e. buy the frame, crank, etc. and put it all together I want to use it as transportation to work and just as an all around bashing bike any suggestions or online shops I can go to.
thanx.

I would also like to have a pair of kick @$$ brakes since I love to indo (sp.) manual on the front tire and I like to stop under 50ft as compared to my mongooses drop your feet and hope you souls stick to the asphalt.

I think that I might just get the complete Fly micromachines bike, the Titus Flatliner, Eastern Chromosome, or the KHE Messerschmitt does anyone have any of these bikes or have any good or bad things to say about them?? I wanted to know if the parts like the brakes, rims, crank and what not were good on the complete kit thanx.

If you want good brakes, two things are key: chrome rims and correct set-up. Any U brake will work great if you set it up right, and Odyssey Evolvers are by far the easiest to set up. Chrome rims are everywhere, but most Arayas (especially Super 7xs), most Alexes (not Supra E, very heavy) and Odyssey Hazzard Lites are the best.

As for completes, I'd recommend the Micromachine. It has black rims, but these are easily changed. The KHE and Titus have SD rotors, not normal Gyros, and I haven't heard anything good about them. The Chromsome is a good bike for the money, but it's probably quite heavy. If you can afford the FLy and some new rims, go for it.

And www.flatlandfuel.com is the only place to buy it.
