Info needed on 16" Jamie Bestwick GT

Hi,

I usually hang out on the track forum, but my 10-year-old nephew has asked me to get him a 34-tooth chainring for his GT - the 16" version of the Jamie Bestwick. Problem is, I'm not sure what the PCD of the crank is - does anyone know? Also, what bolt pattern it is - 4 bolt?

Then, just to make things more difficult, he wants the chainring to be blue or green. So who makes the right pitch, bolt, size in those colours?

I'm thinking of sending him some new tyres as well - again, has to be blue or green. Who does the best 16" tyres for dirt jumping in those colours. (I know it's stupid to stick to those colours - but he's a kid, what can I say?)

Pretty much any of these one-piece sprockets will work:

Just pick one that looks cool, comes in blue & 34t.
And the best DJ tires in 16" you can get are whatever you can find. There's not of choices in that size.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I've Googled the Jamie Bestwick, and some pics I'm finding show the bike specced with 3-piece cranks. Are one piece sprokets designed for 3-piece cranks? I always thought one piece sprockets went with one piece cranks?

Good 16 inch tires are hard to come by, Primo and Kenda make some that I think are geared toward bike trailers and recumbents but most 16 inch are kids bike tires. Not sure about colours, I have seen some yellow and blue tires on kids bikes but never as a replacement part.

The Profile chainring that was linked should work on that bike but bear in mind that it is 2 teeth smaller than what the bike was spec'ed with so the wheel is going to move back in the dropouts a bit. You will need to make sure that the brake has enough adjustment left to still work or you will need to shorten the chain.

It's gonna be really hard to find colored 16" tires.

Edit: I take that back.
