best bmx less than $300

Hey,
My 13 yr old son is new into BMX, he is really into jumping, not so much into tricks. What do you recommend, I've looked at GT's and DK's. Trying to keep it under $250, maybe $300.

Thanks

DK, Fit, Kink, and Hoffman all have some quality stuff that your son could use for a very long time. check out https://www.albes.com/index.asp?PageA...S&Category=298 they have some good sales on some stuff. They are all pretty close, and if he is just learning, the differences between most of them are not much of a concern.

considering he is your son i think you should do 319$ for a bike that will last a good amount of time.

I would hate it if you pay 300 or more for a bicycle and there is a chance that he may not hold onto the sport. If he changes hobbies a lot then I wouldn't pay that much.

In order for us to outfit him with the perfect bike we would need more information.

Is he a fast grower? How tall is he? More preferably his inseam with his regular shoes on.

just google "bmx sizing chart"

I have to say for a light jumping bike I would go with the Eastern 9volt with a 18.5 top tube and decent equipped. for 250.00 from albes.com

The second choice the frame is heavier duty with a 20" top tube well equipped. 2008 Hoffman EC as stated from above. for 199.99

My best preference I would go with the 2007 DK General Lee from albes.com 230.00
