terrible one.
i mean, both bikes are solid. and will last a long time. but i have a barcode, and i love it. the T-1 forks are pretty sick too.
either one would be great.
but if you plan on using a small sprocket in the front, you might want to go with something else, as the brake mounts are on the chainstays, and there might not be enough clearance...

Small gears
the smallest gear ratio i would run, would be a 36 - 13. Im not into that whole weight saving, tiny gear ratio trend. Nothing wrong with it, i just dont like it. I like the T1 alot cause you can run your backend short, thats what im really looking for. I like the kizz alot also... i dont know ill probably end up going with the T1.

oooh! one thing about the T1 that kinda sucks: there isn't much tire clearance on the seat stays at all.
i run my rear wheel all the way forward (about 2mm clearance between the tire and the seatstay wishbone) and it takes like, jedi mind tricks to get my tire to not rub. in certain places. the tire is seated correctly and my wheels are true, the tire just...wobbles. i've tried a million times to correct it, but to no avail.
one of my friends also has a T1 and he has his rear wheel pretty far back and he has the same problems.
i don't think the frames were really built to handle a fatter tire (like 2.1) or whatever the IRC flatlander is, which is what both of us use.

Tire size
well i run a 1.85 in my S&M Bennett, and i hate the 1.85 but i have to run that small so i can get my backend where i want it. But do you think a 1.95 will work in the t1?

i just checked and the IRC is a 1.95...it works alright, but it's just finicky, like more than 2mm wobble and it'll rub.
the next bike i get, i'll probably go for something without a wishbone back end...either a fit or an FBM....if i keep riding that is...i've been thinking about selling my T1 lately, but i'm too attached to it.

I have a 20.625 Barcode, and I run a 1.95 S&M Mainline in the back. It's fine. Before that I ran the big Primo Wall tire back there, and it was fine too. Not sure what you guys may or may not be doing wrong.

i'm not doing anything wrong, my tire is just screwed up. it's in there fine at the moment, but i guarantee that if i went out and did a grind it'd be rubbing again.
the tire is just refuses to seat properly on the rim...just one of those things.
