Hey guys, my brother and I are wanting to get back into BMX riding. We used to ride several years ago. So much has changed since then. The "Rad Racing" days, haha. We are wanting to get some bikes for doing flat land tricks and learning some new ones. We are looking at the MirraCo bikes, the black pearl II and the project 18. I think that is what it's called.
I am 5'9" and about 150 lbs. Not too sure about the 18 in. frame? Thinking that it's going to be too small. Probably seems really stupid to you guys but this is why I am asking. I am open to other brands and models. What do you guys think? We are wanting something light (obviously), but there are all sorts of new brands out there that I haven't heard of before. Guidance would be much appreciated. Oh price range. I don't want to spend more then $650. Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

dont do an 18 in. frame. for a dude you size ( and mine too) then you need to go at least 20.5. thats your best bet. and always stick to something chromoly

there are my 2 choices. im looking for something cheap (price wise) but something nice to ride around town and maybe the occasional off-road. the lighter the better. im not a great rider but i can bunny hop im around 6' and weigh around 180. i read anything under $200 is worthless, and the Z1 is there, but for a leisure ride around town (no big tricks) and a small budget it shouldnt be that bad. any ideas?

the other material is hi-tensile steel, which is neither as strong or light as chromoly steel. that's why all the top-end bmxes are made of chromoly, and all the low-end ones are hi-ten.

I looked into the fit flow street and its nice however everywhere I have looked is sold out so I am trying to decide between the DK Dayton and the Eastern Element they both have 100% chromo frames, 3pc cranks and the price is relatively similar so I'm thinking its down to personal preference but is there anything I am missing?
