Redline... Information/Help?

Hey guys, here's the bike I have now. I've searched for the sticker on it: Redline Primus, but no luck.
I was wondering if you guys had any information on it?
I don't know any specs or anything on it, so was hoping somebody would have some information on it.
Also, how many pieces are in my crank and how would I tell?

Would you guys recommend me buy a new bike, with a professional name, or keep this one and keep practicing with it, upgrading parts as I go?

Here are some pictures of it:

from the looks of your bike it is of the early to mid 90's due to the color scheme. Chrome rear triangle and painted top and bottom tube, etc. Was a trend in the early 90's and mid 90's. That bike I would actually leave it alone and not tamper with it. The crank is definitely a 1pc. crank plus, I haven't ever seen a Redline crank embossed like that before. Quite unique.

I would say just buy another bike so you can modify it if need be and just ride the redline once in a while. That Redline is very unique. As for brands that is for you to decide. I won't push a brand on you.

It is hard to explain how to tell someone how to distinguish between crank. All I can say is take the bottom bracket to take out the crank for fun so you will know how a 1 pc. looks like. Ask around so you can see someone to show you a taken apart 3pc.

Primus is a band, that's just a bumper sticker.
I'd agree with early 90s/late 80s, where does it say redline?
My first reaction is that the welds on the frame aren't redline welds.

haha that bumper sticker sure fooled me I think I see the faint R on the front head tube gussets when you blow up the picture. You mind to explain how redline welds should look like so I know for future reference?

definately a redline entry-level race bike from the mid- to late- 90s. at least it has a 1 1/8" threadless headset, but none of that bike are going to be very strong for street riding. it would be ok if you are a young kid and just starting out on racing, but it would be better to sell it and use the money to get a good, strong freestyle bike.
