What do you think of my bike?
It is an older Giant Modem. This is a bike that I got for free and I am thinking of selling this bike and getting a new one. It is all stock and it weighs 35 pounds! I like to ride street BMX and need something that is pretty light and I will be able to do things like 180 bunnyhops on(can almost do it on this Giant Modem I have right now, but not quite) and street tricks and i little bit of vert. If you have any suggestions on what bikes are good, then post a bike you think is good. I can spend up to about $550 for a bike. Thanks.

ok thanks. DO you think there is a certain part on this bike that is making it weigh so much that I could change for a different one?

The whole bike is made of heavy parts, but just upgrade to lighter stuff as it breaks.

when considering the weight of a bike, rims and tires actually make up the greatest part of the feeling of the bike's weight. rotational weight of the rim/tire will drag a lot. heavy wheels are also distant from the bike's center of gravity. use normal (not extra thick) tubes and get some decent weight tires. then look at the frame, fork, bars, stem, cranks, seatpost, etc.

so if I wanted to, I should just go ahead and upgrade to a new bike if I wanted to? I don't really want to replace the parts on this bike because I don't want to spend a lot of time and money into this bike and then end up selling it. So I will probably just sell this one or something and get a good bike. I saw a 2009 Fit bike that looked really nice and it was new for $570 Buy-it-Now. Link to page is https://cgi.ebay.com/FIT-PRK3-PRK-3-P...1%7C240%3A1318. Another bike that I thought was pretty good was this 2008 Eastern Ace of Spades for a $475 Buy-it-Now at: https://cgi.ebay.com/New-2008-Eastern...1%7C240%3A1318. Take a look and tell me what you think! Thanks!
