any experience with pump parks?

Our MTB club just presented our city council with a proposal for a pump park in the city and it was accepted unanimously. Now we are in the process of getting this project off and running to get it built this year. Has anyone had experiences in getting their own park up and running? I would appreciate any input.

thats pretty bad ass!

and as far as bmx goes. weve always gotten the sharp end of the stick when it comes to public parks.

Skatepark is going to open up here in Tampa soon after about 10 years of hype about it. It was an equal effort by bmxers and skaters to get the park going. After the park was a go and everyone put in their .02 of advice(including bmx) designing it we found out through the newspaper they were shafting us and not allowing bikes in.

im not surprised its always been like that, your lucky to live in a place that is willing to allow you to ride your bike in a place that was build with YOUR money.
