unsealed mid to sealed
 

ok i have a unsealed mid bb
i would like to know how to take the old unsealed cups out and instal the new sealed one in [/B]

Flathead and a hammer to take the old ones out. Piece of wood and a hammer to stick em in.

Are you sure its a mid? I pretty sure there no such thing as an unsealed mid. Its just a standard size for a sealed american bearing.

It's definitely unsealed and small, looks like it could be a mid.

come to think of it now, i have seen unsealed mid. but it was on a little kids bike hahaaha. Juust take the cranks and bearings out, and pound the cups out with a hammer and a screw driver, and then tap the new ones in.

Once the cranks and bearings are out of the way, give a it a good dousing with wd-40 and let it sit for 10 mins before you start tapping the cups out, they'll come out easier with less risk of damage to the bb shell.
