Want to start Flatland, but what bike?

Hey everyone, I want to start doing some Flatland stuff but all I have is a mountain bike and want to get something better.

I am 6' 4, about 190lb and I don't know what bike I should be looking for since I'm so tall or if height even matters.

I would like to get a beginners bike and also would like to spend ~250 dollars.

Any tip/suggestions are welcome

10 Wheels, I think you're confused about what the OP meant. The OP's talking about flatland BMX, not about moving from mountain biking to the road.

You most likely have to spend more than $250 for a flatland bike.

If you can scratch out a few bucks more, the cheapest flat bike on Flatland Fuel is $340, a DK Opsis

Another thought is just to buy a used 20" somewhere and slap some pegs on it and start from that.

Be sure to check Craigslist.org for things in your area.

Brands don't matter that much when you are just starting out so don't worry about the "bling" factor.

Just ride and have fun.
