14mm forks with 990's?
I couldn't find anything in the dan's catalog. I have a mankind fork I like a lot but I need another for the gf's bike.
I gave slotted 9/16th axles a try because they fit into my old forks, but they just didn't hold up
Anyone know any forks like this and a mail order to get them from?

There aren't too many forks with 14mm dropouts on the market anymore, much less ones with 990 mounts, so you're probably going to have to look for something used, like an older pair of Odyssey Dirt forks.

There isn't a damn thing wrong with integrated. I've been on the same headset for four or five years now, without any issues.

Ahh you guys had me scared, so I was googling like a madman! I did remember an email that was getting passed around bike shops a few years ago from chris king and was able to find a pdf that was similar to it
https://chrisking.com/files/pdfs/Int2...sExplained.pdf
Its not the first time I take Chris King's opinions with a grain of salt, my integrated has been fine so far, and it appears you guys are doing ok with yours as well.

God damn chris king is such a bull***** money grabbing overpriced douchbag company. LOL Ive seen many ovalized headtubes and cracked headset cups on the conventional design. Never seen any problems with integrated.

The only headset I've ever truly broken was a Chris King. I mean, yeah, I had some issues with the bottom cup on an old FSA Pig, and the Solid's grub screw was a bit counter-intuitive at first, and my old AHeadset just spun like crap, but the King... Christ almighty that thing was a piece of ****.

They're good to take the abuse from racing and mountain biking though, which is what they are pretty much designed for.
