DUDE, THAT IS AWESOME! Can you give me any tips on doing manuals? I would really really appreciate it, I'm trying to get better at them myself! I know I might sound kind of lame, but bear with me here that I only just got my bike under a year ago, and it's winter here so I havn't been able to ride near as much as I'd like to. I'd be greatful for any tips on manuals or wheelies. (although, both are best! :) ) |

You don't yank up on manuals, you lean back. If your body is rigid, then you don't have any control of the trick. Watch some street videos of guys doing manuals. The good guys are tough to watch because they are to good... but the guys who are a little more sketchy with manuals, you can see how they are moving their body all over the place to work the bike.
So, you lean back and keep your body loose, but in control. Ready to move in any direction you need to, whenever you need to. Oh, and practice for a few years. |

Thanks alot for the tips, I really need them. (But didn't we all when we first started!) This stuff may sound basic to you guys, but it sounds freakin' hard to me. I don't know, like you said a few years of practice, and I'll probably be doing 100 foot manuals. LOL Maybe.... (Ok I added the 100 foot thing) But anyway, thanks. :) |

That is interesting BMXTRIX, I didn't know that. I can usually only go about 20 feet, but some of my better ones go 45 feet. I know, it stinks, but it's a start. I can only manual like 4 feet! Now that REALLY stinks! LOL :) But I have noticed that when I started practicing manuals I got better at wheelies. So it must be something with balance. |
my longest wheelie is half a mile and my longest manual is 20 or 30 feet ive been biking for about 3or4 months

I hope you get struck by lightning.

Way to go noob.

True Dat.
|
why do people have to post on threads that are so long dead?
|
why should i get struck by lightning? this thread is longest wheelie?

Start off by reading the date of this thread.

My ability to do wheelies is surpassed by none!
So, I'm locking this thread :) . If anyone can do a wheelie of more than five miles, take some video and get back to me. Thanks! East Hill |
