bmx

thats an old mongoose motomag from what looks like the early 80's. I've got one that's from 78 I am working on right now. Cool bike, with some good oldschool components, where did you get it? Also what is the serial number?

Yeah, that's a later Mongoose. The MX seat, v-bars, and fluted seatpost are similar to what I rode about 1982. I don't recall what cranks those are, (Takagi?) but they sucked. The grips appear to be Grab-On, and the tires are possibly Snake Belly. Dia Compe brakes? Araya rims? The earlier frames didn't have a bridge for a handbrake, they were strictly coaster.

Hey look, here's one in action, around 1981! Note the v-bar and still rockin' the moto mags. An easy 40+ pound bike.
