Seat post was rusted in so it was a PAIN to get it off.. it got a little dinged up in process..

Instead of getting a trashed bike and putting money into it. You should save it and get a decent bike.

You did a good job polishing up that chrome, might have been a good idea to leave it chrome, paint doesnt stick too well to chrome. Looks like a good primer job though, do you plan to replace the tires grips etc?

Thank You
I was just going to leave it chrome since it looked really good but I was afraid that it would rust up again. Yeah I plan on replacing the tires and rims and everything eventually once I get some money. I just painted the front rim gloss black, but I ran out of paint half way through, so once I get some more money I'll finish painting everything. The rims and brakes and everything are going to be gloss black and the frame is going to be gloss red

Oh man, this bike is very similar to my old Royce Union "Static FS" that I bought when I was in Junior High. Unpleasant memories.

Anyway, it's too late to stop you from doing what you've already done, but here's why you shouldn't have:

- First off, paint and chrome don't get along very well. It's probably going to chip off very easily
- You were lucky enough to find a bike with aluminum rims (my old RU had steel rims), which would have been pretty good for braking. Since you painted them, they're probably going to stop really poorly until the paint wears back off of them.
- Taking everything apart, only to paint every single component, is just silly. The end result is that it's going to appear as though you just left it together and painted everything at once.
- This is a matter of taste, but certain components just shouldn't be painted: Seat posts, cranks, sprockets, FREEWHEELS, BRAKES, brake levers...

Sorry if I'm being a jerk, but you took what was a cheap bad looking bike, briefly made it look good as new, and then made it look even worse.

yall are talking like its a million dollar bike

the good thing about HIM buying HIS bike, is HE can do whatever he wants to with it. after all HE BOUGHT IT.

But o.p. chrome wont rust, not unless its been sitting outside for twenty something years, i just got done redoing a 88' yokota with a chrome frame, as long as you actually take care of the chrome it wont rust. but it is YOUR bike, so do with it as you please.
