i need help with front brakes on royce union bmx
I cant figure out what i did wrong when i put the bike back together but my front brakes dont work. anyone know of a manual or sumthn 4 this?

im just going to wait and see if I still have my job after this week and then if Im still working im going to just order all new brakes from dans comp since mine are old and dont work.. i did everything right btw...

ok I have another question.. Can I take apart the axle on the rear rim of the royce union and take the freewheel off myself, so I can put it on a different bike that has coaster brakes? Or would I have to take it to bike shop and pay them to tear down both wheels and swap hubs?.... I've never taken a wheel apart before except the coaster brake one...

Are you talking about the entire hub or just the F/W?

I was wondering if I could just take the freewheel off and swap it over or if I have to take off the whole hub in order to do it.

1. It would probably help if you explained to us the way in which the brake doesn't work. There are several possible reasons for a brake not to work, and it is difficult to diagnose the problem without more details. Does it work, just not well? does the lever move? pictures?
2. I'm going to restate this so I know exactly what you're asking. Correct me if this is wrong. You have two wheels, one of them has a coaster brake, and one of them has a freewheel. You want to switch it so that the one with a freewheel has a coaster brake and/or the other way around. In order to do this, you'd have to change the hub, and in order to do that, you would have to completely dismantle and rebuild the wheels. Depending on the spoke count of each wheel (and I'm guessing they are different), this might be impossible to do. Even if it is possible, it's most likely not worth the trouble. If you want this bike to have a coaster brake, you'd be better off finding a 20" wheel with a coaster brake already installed.
