I have a little group of flatlanders that I hang out with, and one of them recently bought a huffy bike. The frame looks flatland to me. ( It has the space in the front for scuffing the front tire, and a platform under the seat for frame stands ) He says its a good bike, but I was wondering what yall thought. I dont like huffys after I cracked a frame while practicing some dirt jumps (not my bike). So what do yall think? Good or Bad?

EDIT: I meant to say he bought the frame, not the whole bike.

could be one of the rare nicer huffys, but I doubt it. Look closely at the components on it, chances are if they're nice, the frame is nice, if not, its probably your everyday huffy.

guess its time for some research. I don't see why people buy frames like that when if you look hard enough someone is giving one away. I gave away a Hoffman Sugarbaby frame a while back.

who cares?

you want people on here to tell you it's crap so you can go back and tell him it's crap?

if it holds his parts on (forks, cranks, wheels etc) and he has a good time riding it, then it's a good bike.

would it hold up to a pro riding it? probably not, but I doubt your friend is a pro or even close to it. so if he has a good time on it, it's a good bike.

good is a relative term.

For $5.00, the price is right no matter what.

I would never recommend anyone to buy a Huffy from scratch, but when you need a frame and you only have a few bucks, then your friend got a deal.

I've spent hours riding flatland on racing bikes, mountain bikes, and even scooters when my own bike has been unavailable. The tricks aren't as good, but the fun is still there. So, for $5.00 your bud is on a frame he can actually ride. No, it's still a Huffy, so it isn't a KGB, or a Ares, but it still is better than say... a road bike, or mountain bike... or rollerblades.

Well thanks people. I really needed all that. (sarcastic) It turns out that he just cracked the frame today.
