no it doesnt, i was just wondering where i could get the original brake kit that came with the bike

It's a Odyssey Gyro or an SST Oryg, both of which have interchangeable cables and replacement cables are available at www.danscomp.com or should be at your local bike shop.

Shipping on small orders will definitely get you, but if you have about $40.00 or so to spend, then that is definitely the time to go mail order. I usually order about once every 6-12 months from www.flatlandfuel.com I order stuff that I know I will need throughout the year and spend like 100 bucks or more. Usually a couple of Slic Cables, some Primo Wall tires, a couple pairs of grips, maybe a Modulver cable, a couple of seats. It adds up quick, but the savings over a bike shop when you get a bunch of back up parts is huge.

I try to keep about one extra of almost everthing that may typically break. Especially axles. Your LBS likely doesn't have high quality replacement axles so if you break one on your ride, then you almost definitely have to order a new axle and wait several days (or more) for the new axle to show up. If you have one in your toolbox (buy a toolbox!) then you can put it in and be up and riding in a hour... maybe less.

well i dont think i do enough now, besides ledges, or something like that, that could break an axle, but like i said, janesvile is 30 miles away and they have a lot of good bike parts

Always fun to go to bike shops. I usually check them out when I see one on the road and have some time to kill. All the ones near me are clueless on the bmx side though, so I tend to stick to mail order.

Also keep in mind, it's going to eat up between $3.00 and $5.00 of gas to get to the bike shop in a car. That's a good portion of your shipping right there, plus you may save $2.00 per cable by getting it mail order instead of at the shop.

Not trying to talk you out of going to the shop, but unless you are driving, you could talk your parents into paying the shipping or something if you are paying for the parts and you don't have to take their time driving you around. You just setup the entire order, then have them pay for it via credit card in two minutes, then they are done.

Meh, go to the shop, have fun.

well the bike shops gotta help get some parts off anyway, unless u could help, i can figure out how to get all the stuff where the cranks go on and all the stuff in the headtube out, its gettin painted

the bike shops where i live have at least 1 person that knows all bmx........i cant believe that a shop wouldnt know any thing about bmx
