BMX Pedals with sealed bearings question
I am typically ride fixed gear, but have been searching through this forum looking for information about BMX pedals with sealed bearings.
Most of the posts I found were a few years old, so I wanted to see if there was anything new. I am looking for a pair of BMX platform pedals with smooth sealed bearings. I don't really know a good BMX shop around here, so I wanted to ask here. Can anyone recommend a pedal? This is going to be for riding around [no tricks], but I wanted a larger platform pedal. Which pedals have the smoothest bearings? |
9/16" or 1/2" type crank? 9/16" there are many from the Downhill MTB niche to get..

Sun Zuzu's are considered to be about the best platforms around. Oddysey Trail Mix pedals can also be had with sealed bearings. There's plenty of others, those are just the first ones to come to mind.
Dan's Comp has a pretty good selection of pedals, to choose from. |

Are any of the sealed bearing pedals from Dan's about the same? Or are there some I should avoid? Thanks again for your quick responses! |

Why do you even need sealed pedals? I've had the same unsealed pedals for the last 5 years and had no problems with them other than snapping off a few pins that were replaced with no problems...
