fit bikeco bikes...?

i tried searching, and i can't find anything on they...

went to check out the bmx bikes at this local shop for a friend... i'm not a BMX'er but i want to get a nice BMX, not to beat up, but to give my fixie a break... anyways... they had some pretty cool looking bikes called fit bikeco and the dude had nothing but good stuff to say about them... they had like every model on the floor... this is the one i'm looking at...

https://fitbikeco.com/index.php?optio...1805&Itemid=30
https://fitbikeco.com/index.php?optio...816&Itemid=236

like i said, i just want to know if they're worth the cash... some start at 325 and others go for 600+... i don't mind paying the cash, but i don't want to get like a micargi or skinny benny piece of crap...

what do you guys think..? it's only like 350 or so at the shop... plus, they're offering me lifetime adjustments... i don't know why it would need them... LOL... if i can get that on my road bike, that would rock...

thx guys...

Nice bmx bikes, but when I went thru the specs, the signature model was the only one that went out of the way to list 4130 CrMo items across the board. I assume that some are a htbrid of hi-ten and CrMo tubes and at some point the bike might just hi-ten ? Anyway, the closest LBS has Giant bmx's and the low $ 300-350 you gave is a hi-ten bike. There's another LBS that carries Haro, but the only models I saw there were the 100.* series and they were about $ 250, again, hi-ten frame and fork. Anyway here's an on-line store to compare:

do i really need a full crmo bike..? i'm maybe gonna jump it off a sidewalk, but that's about it... LOL... i just don't want to put on my clipless shoes to ride my fixie to my friend's house... HAHAHHA.... i just need something that i can grab, and ride like a mile max... i don't want a cheap walmart bike... i just wanted something decent under or around 5 bills...

but i guess my real intentions of this thread was to find out what you guys think of fit bikeco... is it a good brand, say like haro or redline... because the LBS dudes are saying it's the new old school GT... LOL...

i really like the look of these bikes... small chain rings and flat black frames... is it worth me picking up...?

thx...

fits a really good brand they have bin around for a while and if your just going to be riding from one plece to another you dont really need cr-mo.
cr-mo frames are stronger and lighter than hi-ten steel.

I only mentioned the prices & relayed what to expect for a hi-ten or CrMo bmx. To be honest, if it's a sidewalk drop, the $ 300-350 hi-ten bike works fine. I'm just saying, pay $ 500+ and you might as well get a full CrMo bmx, because that's what you're paying for and you might as well make sure it's full CrMo. And if hi-ten works, why not just get a Diamondback from Sports Authority or similar ?

And since you are only riding it for a mile or so and a Walmart bmx is out of the running, Craig's List has some rarely used bargains to be had:

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...388528780.html
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...386520746.html
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...384046836.html

I have this specific model, only refurbed the 2003 and painted it gray over chrome:

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...382181291.html
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...379745278.html

I ride it around the neighborhood like you indicated, also have a park around the corner with trails to ride. It's a full CrMo bmx, the main reason I kept it and painted it. 44/16 gearing, but it's the same gearing as 25/9 for GI on a 20" wheel. Mine was free except for the paint & labor, mine needed some TLC to get it ridable. Those CL ads are bikes ready to ride.
