If he's just a beginner, there's no reason for him to spend money on a $300 frame.

exactly.. bike sounds fine.. if the frame breaks in half.. get a new one.. until then have fun on that one..

If the frame is working for you, then keep it until it breaks or until you actually have money for a new one. So maybe some good 3-piece cranks... Or a good cassette hub. There is a LOT available to upgrade on your bike before the frame, and if you are happy with what you have, then stick with it. |
well whatever yea its fine for a bigginer i just thought u should get it cause it will last u 2 years or so

if you like the feel, stick with it, just dont ride it past its limits, that how you get seriously screwed up.
