Help Identifying a Frame?

$50 for everything shown but the crankset & pedals (I really wanted those brand new CB 50-50's ), the guy says it's an early 2000's Fit Van Husan frame but doesn't know the exact year or material. He repainted the frame a while back. I know the current Fit VH series is made with a full chromoly frame, but I couldn't find anything on the Van Husan at all before around 2007. Anyone know what the frame is made of?

It also comes with an S&M Pitchfork, CC S-3 headset, Macneil bars, Ditch Witch front rim (no name hub) & no-name rear wheel & hub, & Macneil integrated seat/post. He says everything (sans the wheels) is relatively unused, so if nothing else I'll buy it just for the parts & build up another frame.

Well, in that case, I'm guessing it's his Fit Series 1 signature frame.

Given my experience with BF, I'm surprise you let me off that easy.

Well I know it's his signature series, give that the seller said it's a Fit Van Homan frame. I'm trying to figure out the frame material because he said it was an early 2000's model, but I can't find anything on a Fit Van Homan bike earlier than 2007. It's all good though, I'm still a BMX hack anyway so I'm sure this frame can handle anything I can manage to put it through.

Up until a few weeks ago, I had never roamed outside the Mountain Biking forum. That's still where I frequent, as I've chummed up to a lot of the folk over there (& it seems to be a more active forum..I guess old people have more free time) I raced BMX as a kid (mostly through middle school) & got into mountain biking with a friend about a year & a half ago when I joined BF.

I finished a mountain bike build a few weeks ago & wanted a new project, so I started thinking about maybe a 24" or 26" DJ, but then decided I didn't want to put that much money into another bike & I wanted to start going to the skate park with my friends (being a hack on a BMX/DJ at a skate park is one thing, being a hack on a mountain bike at a skate park is just humiliating). So I started lurking around this forum (mostly just using the magical "search" feature to avoid asking redundant questions) but then I stumbled on this bike that was already almost completely built with mostly mid-range components & had to get it.

I ended up buying the bike with everything pictured except the pedals for $100, assembled & tuned what needed assembly & tuning the other night & I just got back from testing it out at the local BMX track. I can't believe how much skill & fast-twitch muscle I've lost in the last 7 years! I knew I'd be rough around the edges, but I couldn't clear or even manual over a single set on the entire track! Sad day, but good motivation to get back out there & start relearning everything I've forgotten.

Because we all know every single bike manufactured by serial number. Try google. Its a pretty big part of that thing you used to post here, you know, the internet?

I think the general consensus is that we can't help you identify a frame when you only provide a picture of a tiny part of it.

Haro Backtrail Z20

http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=206889

Z20 = Backtrail Z20
P5J is code for month and year, even factory it was made, so it's a 2005. "J" I would think would be made in Japan ?

I'm thinking the Z20 isn't really a crappy frame, just their entry level bike. I have a 2003 Haro Backtrail X1. It was chrome, someone had painted over it and did a lousy job. The chrome was a pretty tough job to prep, but I was able to paint it with engine enamel and it seems to be holding up fine after about 8 months now.
