That kid had nothing to do with it, i figured you are probly lying about you doing that but if you did then SHAME ON YOU!
forget the bike, return the parts, buy him new tyres, fix it all up and then move on and custom order a new one.

did you even read what he actually did? it was his "friend" that bought the bike and he messed it up when it wasnt even his friends fault, and if you did know that, then shame on you too.
