I have a problem

I custom ordered a new bike at the nearby bike shop. It was like $769 and I ordered it straight from the store because i dont trust sites no more, they always send me the wrong ****. I am not going to take the time to name the parts but it was great, 24.6 pounds, euro BB, 25T/10T( I dont like to ride to small, I always brake them) premium frame, KING headset, and a lot more(you good riders know what the "a lot more" is). I went to the store to pay for my bike and buy it and when I get there I find out one of my friends bought my bike because they payed $850. I am really pissed, should I order a new bike or should I order a nice WHIPPERMEN PRO chain and beat him down with it?

You should talk to the store owner and find out why you don't have your bike!!!

If it is your ride, then why the f*ck did the bike shop sell it? If it was ordered specifically for you, what are they putting it on the floor for? Why in the world is the bike that you went through the hassle of designing being sold to someone else anyway?

If online stuff sends you the wrong crap, at least they are sending it to you and something actually shows up and you aren't getting screwed over on LBS pricing.

This is an excellent example of why LBSs are losing customers to online sales. When they don't know how to treat a customer and treat them like crap, it is time to move on. Really sucks for you.

Should the owner not give you satisfaction, I'd suggest registering a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as the local Chamber of Commerce. That type of behavior is disgusting.

That is really rediculous.. if you couston ordered the bike, that should not have happened.. Talk to the owner and the person who you told what you wanted on the bike. That's crazy.. you either have them get the exact same bike you wanted VERY soon or you bring your buisness else-where.

Thanks everyone, I went and talked to the store owner and he told me the kid put a higher bid on it which i didn't understand since it was my bike not to be bidded on. I called the Better Business Bureau and they told me without proof of purchase or and information that it was infact my bike is not shown i cannot bring it to court. I think this is bull****, and i am going to take matters into my own hands. Thanks again

so the bike was custom orded for you, and you didnt get a copy of the order ticket? you should have got one. if you have that then you can raise a stink with the BBB. i really cant believe that a shop would do that. i recommend arson.

Lol, nope I just bent the fork and back rim, stole the handlebars and seat poost/seat, so he cant ride it, and slashed the tire just incase he tried to ride. I believe I solved my problem and if no one else does sorry but I feel good now.

I really hope you didn't actaully do that.. that's like a guy killing his wife's mistress who didn't even know she was maried... What did that kid have to do with it? He probably saw the bike and said he wanted and was sold it.. it has nothing to do with him. That would be really un-cool if you did that. super bad bike karma. How exactly is your problem solved? You still don't have a bike. I don't see how you can't just ask the bike shop to order you the same exact bike.. and just get a slip this time.

that is super funny, but wrong... i wouldve probably vandalized his car, house, business, etc... but really though, that kid had nothing to do with it. oh well, maybe next time.

Thats really not cool. I mean I understand you were super pist I have been there but trashing the bike wasnt the right way to do it especialy if he didn't know. Not to mention how stupid it would be if the kid knew the LBS made the bike for you because well who else would have done it. You just left yourself as the only suspect. The best thing to do is to just walk away you didn't lose any money. It would really suck if people didnt respect each other anymore. We take that for granite alot just the fact that some kids would let us ride "their spot" ... However if you ever need to get back at someone for a really legitimate reason just get a couple friends and kick the persons ass ... SPARE THE BIKE PLEASE.
