help me pick a bmx.
 

well heres my situation i bought myself a mongoose article for the bmx park . its heavy very unstable and agile doing jumps and cheap. now i heard dirt bmxs have longer frames for big dirt jumps thus making them more stable doing jumps is this true if so id be looking for a dirt jump bmx for the bmx park but wouldnt know what to get. im currently looking at a specialised p20 http://www.specialized.com/gb/gb/bc/...FPark%2FStreet but i know that theres better out there so what do you reccomend i get? it has to be a dirt bmx.

A 'dirt jump bmx' won't have a longer top tube just because of what its meant for. Plain and simple, your bike doesn't fit you. How tall are you? Your height will determine how long a tt to get, if that option is available in whatever completes you want.

Ftfy. Sorry for the grammar nazi moment, but grammar errors bug me. And those bikes are designed/built for racing, and would fold on him if he tried to ride any street/dirt on it.

Stuff like this makes me laugh. I wish people would read up on what they were trying to do before posting. Like Street rider said the TT is based on your height and then preference. I knew a 6 ft plus dude who rode a 18.5" frame and some shorter people who 21". The length isn't going to make you go higher or do sweeter tricks. I'm 5'7'' and run a 20.5" and have complete control of what I want my bike to do. Honestly, it is more about you than your bike. When I first got into the bmx scene I thought it was all about the bike. If you have a study bike they you can do whatever. Lighter bikes can make things easier if you aren't "strong." Personally I think you need to practice what you are doing. Once you master that you can do anything on any type of bmx
