Glow in the dark pedals and seats
Hi everyone,
Tomorrow i will start repainting and rebuilding my bmx. I have a pair of glow in the dark grip but i want a pair of pedals and a seat. I have made a long search but I dont found any glow in the dark pedals and seats. If someone know where to find these parts leave a post please ! :thumb: |
I looked way too long for something that google. can find for you. But this seems to be your best bet. And if its dark enough that your stuff is actually glowing noticeably, its too damn dark to be out riding.

Thank you but i got some glow in the dark paint so i will paint a plastic seat ant i will buy white pedals...:)

Still though. Why glow in the dark? Primarily riding during the day, so you can actually see, would negate the whole idea of it, and riding at night, like I said, you'd need lights if its dark enough to tell its glowing. And the lights would pretty much wash out the glow/make it harder to see.

im living in a small village and me and my friends we ride the day and the night ... and its not all the streets that have lights so the phosphorescent parts will be visible also i want a bike that no one have...

I ride at night. I refuse to during the day. I don't want to die in 100 plus degree weather. Never had a problem with visibility and I don't use lights.

Around here, its sometimes safer at night, because theres no road rage, but its also the middle of bum**** nowhere, so a lot of this area is pitch black. Lights on the fixed commuter, not the BMX, but I wouldn't want to take that thing out at night anyway.

Spray paint on pedals/seat will only last a few weeks at best anyway.

I have bought some glow in the dark paint in spray and I will try to paint a white seat and put some white pedals. I will paint all my bike in black and all the logos in white with my phosphorescent paint. My bike will be sick and original ! :thumb:
I will post some pictures when my bike will be done, tomorrow i'm removing all the original paint.:) |
Glow-in-the-dark items do really need fairly dark conditions to be noticeable. I know it's not what's directly wanted, but why not use retro-reflective film in stead? There's at least one thread on here about it. Sheets of it can be found online for not too incredibly much, and it's quite dramatic even in dusk or dawn light, when a car's headlights reflect back to the driver.
