Sealed Mechanism

I have just got a new haro f4 and it says that the bottom bracket is seal mechanism does that mean its got seal bearings

Most likely; that'd be a real cockup if they were referring to the dustcovers for unsealed bearings as seals.

yeah it could be, ive got dustcovers on the bearing on my back hub now

No, they are referring to dust covers. Odds are good that the bearings are in a bearing race and there is a cover over the bearings that is held in place by your crank bolts that uses pressure to keep dirt and crap out of the bearings.

It's a relatively cheap way to do things, but works alright. I am surprised they have that instead of sealed bearings though.

yeah its a 2005 haro f4 my brother said that it might have sealed bearigs inside the cups instead of having the cup and bearings joined togther

The new f4 have the same cranks as the backtrail x3 and the mirra 540. They are sealed. I aint full of it eather. The f 3 uses unsealed. My friend knows his haro's also to e-mail him ray_almighty@hotmail.com. Also check the web and look at them.

The x3 is sealed mechanism also. The Mirra 540 uses a different crank. Check Haro's website for details.
