i resentlt bought myself some new hubs cuz i broke mine doing street. i got primopro front hub, and primopro cassette rear hub. i'm gonna run my Alex doublewall rims with em, 48h, wit stock spokes. reckon thats a ok setup? i mean, the guys here can't believe it. jus wondering if that is considered ok in the states? i love the setup!! lick it!!

Why would you need to know if it is ok here 'in the states'? What difference would it make? Yes it is a nice setup with some nice components, but if you don't live here than why would you care about our opinion? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I think that setup would work ok, but you need to worry about your grammar more than your bike.

its well cool scene, just not much creativity. u get guys sitting around complaining about nought to ride, and when u show them a spot, they ride it once, and they sick of it. i mean "ride" as in they drop in, or launch once, no moves, no rotations, or anything, just air, and they are sick of it. how they gonna learn if they don't have passion for it? but yeah, answering my questions would be good.

I race cruisers, and I'm not really into freestyling, but it sounds like you're going to have a better wheelset. When I first got into BMX I lived in a culdesac, and we had ramps set up right in the middle of our street, plus a 1/4 pipe for skating. Pretty cool. Dirt tracks and jumps at the end of the street too. We've got a concrete skate park and a dirt jump park within a few minutes of my house here.

Dude, I have an idea of what you mean. I have a thirteen year old friend who rides bmx because two of his friends do, (one of them is me) and he doesn't really seem 'into' the sport. I mean he tries to do tricks and stuff, but 'most' of the time he really doesn't seem to care about bmx. It's like he's planning on not going far in the sport and it really saddens me. My other friend on the other hand seems really into it, and is constantly trying new tricks off of anything he sees. Sometimes he's my motivation when I'm feeling kind of tired and stuff. (not tired of bmx, physiclly tired) And it's really fun riding around with him because we always try to find things we can do tricks on and he is very happy with little things, you know, he doesn't need 'big' fancy stuff to have fun on. I'm not saying that that thirteen year old friend of mine isn't fun to ride with, it's just sometimes discouraging when I see that kind of thinking in him. And he seems to get tired of things quickly even if me and my other friend are having a blast on whatever we're doing. It's like he does bmx just to pass the time instead of trying to go for it and get better at it everytime he goes out. But these are just things I see in him, he's not always like that. Sad to read about your sene JMC, but keep up your spirits and keep going at it!

I know that there is nothing wrong with not liking the sport, it is totally 100% up to him if you wants to do it or not. It's just sad for me to see that because he was really enthussiastic about the sport when he first got into it and now he just seems to be drifting, not really wanting to go anywhere with it. But I could be mistaken (which is a very likely thing) and I don't mind if he keeps with it or not. Like you said, it's up to him and I try not to influence his choices.

like "P" said, get new spokes, I recommend DT, Marwi, or Wheelsmith. Your wheelset will last you that much longer!!
