any comments? like, it seems like a slightly weak design. by that i mean, lacking in strength...

i think there should be 2 screws holding the stem to the fork only one i dont think will cut it

A friend of mine has one similar, haven't heard any complaints yet.

....there are two bolts that hold the stem to the fork you just cant see the other one...check the PRIMO website....and its not done yet it says that is the prototype so far..and it looks good...

I don't know. I've never seen anybody break a stem before

dooley 04-02-05 10:56 AM

Stems is stems, it's nothing new in the basic way it works and it's almost certainly strong enough. Check the odyssey elementary stem if you want to see a different stem.

Does anyone know if that new Elementary stem from Odyssey is good? It looks sweet!

i can't disagree

but it looks kinda, uh, flimsy?

dooley 04-03-05 03:08 AM

Apparently it's actually stronger than a normal stem, not that I've ever broken a normal one. The fact that it weighs less is just by-product of the design.

pack 04-03-05 06:00 AM

the idea behind it is that there is no bolts on the back of the stem to hit your knees on. something i do all the time doing whips

KevRC4130 04-03-05 08:24 AM

The Odyssey Elementary is designed by George French, aka the guy behind G-Sport, so you know it's a well designed product. go to www.gsport.co.uk and read about all of his parts. It doesn't even make sense its so smart and in depth.

KinetikBiker 04-03-05 11:00 AM
