Would be grateful for any advice

Ok, i have read the post for all newbies and im sorry if anything i ask has been asked too much...

I'm 33 in a couple of weeks...i have never been into bmx...skateboarding YES but not bmx, till now.
I've searched about the net for an answer to the 'am i too old?' question but the only answers i find refer to people getting back into it after years out. So, am i too old to start?

Why would you think you're to old for BMX?

Life's too short. Get that BMX bike and ride!

Hi,
I don't really think i'm too old for bmx, i just wonder if i'm too old to start.
I'm going to hunt gumtree, the paper etc for a cheap 2nd hand bike at least to see how i pick up the basics. I wouldn't know where to start with a suitable set up? I see alot of people listing their height when asking what bike/parts they should buy? I am 5ft5/5ft6.

At your height even a 20 in. wouldnt be too small. First thing you are gonna want to do is adjust seat and bars for comfort so you dont give up on it, i tried a bit after turning 30 and it hurt my back, bad but made some adjustments and its not too bad for us farts after that. Good luck and keep us posted and there are no stupid questions, its a learning process.
