I'd like to see it get better writers, decent FX, and a plot arc that doesn't follow Continuum.

If you are a scifi junkie, and need a fix, this can take the edge of withdrawal. But...
i found it very refreshing for a scifi show not to rely on FX's to get the point across, after watching the first episode i was hooked.
and its great to see Amanda Tapping will be the bad guy in season 3

Started watching Babylon Berlin, a fictional crime series set in 1929. After 3 episodes plenty of decadence and glitz (ala Cabaret) as well as violence, but no reference to the coming Nazi storm. Recommended.

Just binged on The Crown, really enjoyed it.

Has anyone bothered with the Star Trek Discovery series?

Altered Carbon.

I love the Blade Runner aspect, no amount of tech will prevent us from being (fill in the blank). Not so wild about the superman aspect, I'll gave a plot a lot of leeway. There is a lot of potential in genetic engineering and technological modifications (read the Commonwealth Saga for a clever take on that). But superhuman has been overdone..

I liked the way they made Bancroft's wife feel predatory when she got naked.

I especially liked the way they handled the change that dramatically extending lifespans could have on people. I don't think it has to be that way, but it's something most miss. Currently, humans are largely defined by time. You're young, you're old, removing all that is a game changer. The show argues that you become less human (I like the way the Commonwealth Saga handles that).

I like the way that changes the dynamic of figuring out whodunnit.

Caveat, I've seen 3 episodes so far, so if there are big changes coming, I am not yet aware of them. I hope they can keep it interesting, because so far, it has my attention in a big way.

And, not on Netflix - I borrowed a friend's password to watch the Handmaid's Tale on Hulu. It was so good, I still think about it often. Scary because it is not too far off in possibility of happening.

I was tying to get into Ozark a few weeks ago, but (at the moment) it's not very enjoyable to me after a long day at work. So I think my favorite series on Netflix might be Atypical (Season 2 recently aired and it was great) or Stranger Things. I also liked Star Trek: Discovery because I'm a fan of everything that has the name Star Trek in it.

The Haunting of Hill House is exceptionally good. Over on Amazon, Jack Ryan is also excellent-- I binged it all in a 48 hour period, then watched it again with the wife.

Almost through the first season of The Man in The High Castle. I read the book a while ago and thought it was a good concept, but a little thin with a dud ending. Liking the series better. Characters and setting are much more fully realized.
