Movie Scenes Featuring Bikes

From films not specifically about bikes, e.g., Breaking Away, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Quicksilver, American Flyers, etc.

The "18 speed bike" scene from A Scanner Darkly features an all-star cast, and is based on a story by Philip K. Dick, though I'm not sure how much of the hilarious dialogue is actually his:

Blade Runner: At least two scenes that I can recall -- the swarm of cyclists as Roy and Leon are walking, one of the most visually compelling scenes in the movie; and a couple of bikes can be seen when Deckard chases Zhora.

Timebomb -- Michael Biehn's character rides a typical late '80s-early '90s mountain bike.

The Great Escape: James Coburn swipes a bike with a saddle way too low for him, making it look like he stole someone's bike. Every time I see that scene I think "Raise the damned saddle before you get caught!" But he gets away with it anyhow because James Coburn was a suave MF.

Great movies. For me, by the way, there is this one Premium Rush (2012). There the guy really rides his bike perfectly with his delivery colleagues.

Felt as if this scene was just put in to fill time when I watched this first run:

A big wheel "boneshaker" features in season 2 of Deadwood, with unexpected importance.

Wasn't there an episode of Deadwood that featured a guy taking delivery of an old bone shaker?

Yup. Season 2, episodes 8 and 9. A bit of foreshadowing to future tragedy.

I'm mostly enjoying re-watching the series, although the faux-Shakespearean language spoken by almost every character in season 2 seems a bit convoluted and pretentious at times. It's a jarring shift from the more straightforward and vulgar language of season 1. I'm trying to figure out whether the series creator had some other goal in mind. It seems to coincide with Swearengen's illness and apparent stroke, and even his own speaking style becomes flowery and convoluted after he recovers.

The first one that comes in mind is the Wedding Planner 2001, when one of the main characters tries to reach the other edge of the city by bike. I recently re-watched it

Caught the new Sherlock Holmes spinoff Enola Holmes this week. It starts and ends with Millie Bobby Brown riding this bike, shown here in rehearsal

Good movie

New Movie is called "The Climb". Haven't seen it. Trailer is interesting though.
