And, while I agree that It's Always Sunny hit a bit of a downhill slide for a while, it seems to me that it's heading in the right direction once again.
I too have been doing a first-run of Arrested Development. Always wanted to watch it originally, but never had a chance. I'm almost done with season 3 and I am loving it. It's got a ton of actual LoL moments.

i've noticed there aren't a lot of stand-alone threads for individual tv shows for discussion - so i'll just put this here, for now...
downton abbey has started its 4th season in the UK! so, the episodes are....available, for folks in the US with know-how

It took a little more than a year and ½ to get through all 49 DVDs, but this weekend me and my kids finally finished up watching the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation series. I can't even guess at how many times I've seen most of those episodes before, but the whole series was totally new to my kids, (10 year-old daughter and 14 year-old son), and they absolutely enjoyed the hell out of it!
Of course, I didn't want them to jump right into the whole Star Trek universe with the TNG series. At their young ages, I figured doing that would totally spoil the (extremely cheesy, by comparison) original Star Trek series for them. So, starting about six months prior to the Next Generation viewing marathon, we set out to watch The Original Series in its entirety. Unfortunately, my daughter was just too young back then for the show to hold her interest, (I’d say she was probably about 7½ at the time). My son really liked it, though, and my daughter has since expressed a strong interest in trying to watch it again.
It all makes a geek dad kinda proud.
Next weekend I’ll be getting the kids started on another series, one that my wife and I really enjoyed when it was first aired: The 4400.
Oops - forgot about ratings!
ST:TOS: 9/10 (rating totally skewed by nostalgia)
ST:TNG: 7.5/10
The 4400: 7/10

I just realized last week that Marina Sirtis was the new Mossad director on NCIS. She's been on before, but it didn't register. I guess no one can look 25 forever, lol. Man, I was in love with her.
I do like NCIS. Predictable, but fun. 7.5/10
And it had to overcome my misgivings of years ago based on my own navy service.

All of the Star Trek series are available on Amazon Instant Video and for free if you have Prime. We've watched through them so many times I can't even count.
TNG is so good. But, DS9 is hands down the best Trek series there is, and some of the best television there is. Yeah the first 2 seasons were a little rocky, but the end of season 2 through the end are excellent. And the final 2 seasons are such fantastic television. If you haven't watched it yet, you absolutely must watch through it all. Garak is probably my favorite character of all Trek time.
I've tried watching TOS but I can't get through it. The cheesy effects don't bug me or anything like that - it's just that the stories are completely uninteresting, and many of them really dumb.
I'd say my top 3 TNG episodes would be in no order:
The Inner Light
Best of Both Worlds
Cause & Effect

Sgt Preston with Yukon King-old 1950's series I discovered is on again.
It was on in the 1950's-loved it.
2 weeks ago discovered it was on again
It is just as I remember it-Yukon King is a full co-star-
Think the official name is Sargent Preston of the Yukon-on FETV which might be a sorta religious channel.
Lone Ranger is on it too- and some old Hammer Films from the 50's
Oh-Yukon King is a sled dog-police dog- in the 50's kids loved shows with dogs-

Nah, to each his own and all that. As I alluded earlier, for me TOS is viewed through heavily nostalgia-tinted glasses. There's actually very, very little about that show I don't thoroughly enjoy.

Last series that I watched, that was "Don't miss!" was "24". Alas, where IS Jack Bauer when we really need him?
Nice thing about the modern age, if you miss a show, you can grab it later on-line.

The Walking Dead Season 4 starts this Sunday. Must see tv for me despite being on at the same time as Redskins vs. Cowboys.

Three shows in and I'm doubting Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. beyond this season. Just not very compelling so far.

i disagree, i think it's getting better every week. it's got A LOT of room to grow, and like every joss whedon show, it will. ABC would be stupid as hell to ditch this.
my favorite new show this season is easily Brooklyn Nine-Nine. killing it every week.

I recently got the first season of China Beach, and I am enjoying seeing that again.
I have a confession, I like Lost Girl.

I thought the Walking Dead season premiere was excellent, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where they take the story this season.
Apparently it killed in the ratings, too, with 16.1 million viewers before adding in "delayed viewing" (DVR) numbers.

Watch Talking Dead after every Walking Dead ep. Lot's of insight to the series.

In terms of entertainment value, it can be pretty hit-or-miss depending on who they have for guests. But, for insight on the show and behind-the-scenes stuff, it's almost always worth watching.

Although I'm not sure what network it's on or when it airs, whenever I happen upon Shark Tank I watch and enjoy it. I'd guess that I've probably seen 15 or so complete episodes, and it's usually pretty entertaining.
I generally prefer to spend my viewing time watching movies, but these are the current TV shows I make it a point to watch:
Mythbusters
American Horror Story
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Bates Motel
The Walking Dead
