I had a Bridge of Sighs 8 track that got ate and I repaired. Only thing was I put the reels in backwards. Everyone loved it so I never fixed it. It was a stitch in time...

"The Court of the Crimson Kings" and "Bridge of Sighs" brought back some, um, wonderful memories of a carefree past, thanks. I don't presently own a turntable and I sold a milk crate full of classic vinyl for something like 5 bucks many years ago. I think it's time to start looking into a new system, I have still got a few albums laying around. I listen to a lot on Niel Young, and he has been re-issuing his older stuff on quality vinyl for a while now. I wish I had a money tree...

Funny, I know that I and all my friends bought In the Court of the Crimson King when it came out, and I seem to recall that my
copy was well worn, but I can't for the life of me remember ever listening to it... :innocent:

The Feelies latest, "Here Before", 19 years after their last studio rrelease. I love that these new vinyl releases are coming with MP3 download cards, play the yummy vinyl at home, and you can take it with you on your digital player/what have you. Not liking the $20 + price tag so much.

I love Randy Newman, unfortunately most people never get past
short people and listen to his earlier material or the movie scores
he did, the man is an absolute genius, just ask Davey the fat boy.

listening to Moody Blues On the Threshold of a Dream

Willy DeVille Miracle. I haven't found a decent bike at a thrift store in forever it seems, but flipping thru the vinyl bins is a nice diversion and chance to listen to stuff i never would have tried at the full retail price. I like to support the independent record shop, but their prices even for their used vinyl are through the roof. I found 3 others that caught my eye and look to be in good shape. If I don't like something I can donate it to the college radio station for their annual record swap, where they will invariably charge ~$10. Still need to be persistent though, there's a lot of Huffy-like material to wade thru. I'll be keeping this record, it's quite nice. Produced by Mark Knopfler.
