Wheels for Meals - Greenville, SC, April 26 2008
Hi,
I am participating in a ride to raise funds for Meals On Wheels of Greenville, SC. This year, Meals on Wheels will host its 2nd annual cycling event, WHEELS FOR MEALS, to raise money to help prepare and deliver 400,000 hot nutricious meals annualy to homebound residents of Greenville County.
I would love to see lots of people from this forum out riding with me. However, if you cannot make the ride, I would appreciate any support that you may consider giving to this great cause. My personal goal is $500 - this will provide a needy person with meals for 6 months!
Contributions can be made by going to my WHEELS FOR MEALS website at https://mowgvl.wheelsformeals.golfreg.com/christhomas.
For more information on the ride or to register and join me visit https://mowgvl.wheelsformeals.golfreg.com/.
I hope to see you out there. Thanks for your support!

I signed up for this today also. I have four friends that are doing also. Spoke to someone at MOW and last year they almost had 300 riders; this year they are already up to 500. I think it's going to be a great ride; I just hope the weather coorporate!

Glad to see that someone else from here is participating. I rode last year too. It was a lot of fun. I pulled my daughter in a trailer on the Family Fun Ride. She had a blast. We did a couple of laps around the warning track inside the baseball stadium before we took to the rode. This year I will be pulling my daughter and son in the trailer. I think I have also convinced my wife to register and ride. This will be her first ride so I hope things go well and she enjoys it.
I'm not suprised to hear they are over 500 riders already. The publicity seems to be much better this year.
I'm thinking about dropping off the trailer and kids after the family ride and setting out the 25 mile loop afterwards if I can find some company.
