Koinonia and Fuller Center to co-sponsor bicycle ride.

Koinonia Farm and the Fuller Center for Housing will co-sponsor a 25-mile bicycle ride November 1st that will run through Americus and Plains, Ga. The bikers will leave Rylander Park in Downtown Americus at 10 a.m., travel to Plains, cut across to Koinonia Farm for a break and return to downtown Americus.

Local Coffee Roastery Cafe Campesino will be at Koinonia Farm to provide snacks and drinks for riders. Plains Trading Post will provide ice cream for riders during the rest stop in Plains.

Anyone is welcome to the ride, but only those who have registered and wear jerseys will receive free snacks during the rest stops. Registration is $25 and continues until the ride begins.

The bike ride is part of a fundraising effort for Fuller Center for Housing and highlights the partnership efforts between the Fuller Center and its “mother” Koinonia as well as local businesses.

The Fuller Center is an international non-profit focused on providing adequate housing for those in need, with partners located in countries all around the globe and in nearly every state.

Koinonia is an intentional Christian community founded in 1942. It is the birthplace of several well-known organizations, such as the Fuller Center, Habitat for Humanity, Jubilee Partners, and Georgia’s Prison and Jail Project.

To register for the bike ride, or for more information, e-mail bike@fullercenter.org or call 229.924.2900.
