Tour de Cure 2009

As far as I recall, in 25+ years of cycling, this is my first charity ride. Admittedly I've bumped my head a few times over the years, so there may be some forgotten moments

With just about half my family diagnosed with Type II, the cause seems a natural for me. A young lady at work whose life has been personally affected by diabetes set up this team, although she's not an experienced cyclist. I'm going to try to recruit some cycling friends to the team, setup some practice rides for the novices, and personally raise $500.

I'm considering setting a challenging time/speed goal for myself, but with the crowd on the track perhaps it's just best to plan for a 6.5 hour ride.

Anyway, here's my page. Feel free to donate of course, and tips from others who've ridden in the past are certainly welcome.

Thanks for reading!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

You'll have a ball. I'll look for your bent there.
