Human Powered Vehicle Festival, October 16, Groton MA
The Friends of the Nashua River Rail Trail are hosting a Human Powered Vehicle Festival, sponsored by the Friends of Willard Brook, for everyone in the area to come enjoy the Rail Trail, get some exercise, and have fun together in an environmentally friendly way. The festival will be Saturday October 16 (rain date October 17) from 10:00 to 2:00, in Groton center, Ayer center, and the Nashua River Rail Trail between them. Attendance is free, and you're invited to participate on foot or to bring your own human-powered vehicles and join in. There will be examples and demonstrations of many kinds, including unicycles, antique bicycles, scooters, roller blades, tricycles, wheelchairs, velomobiles, and more unusual vehicles that you've probably never heard of before. There will also be tables set up by many local organizations, including the Groton Police (who will be providing bike-safety training), local bike shops and riders' groups, other rail trails and outdoor recreation areas, and several of the area's excellent local restaurants. More information is available at https:/tiny.cc/hpvf or by sending email to admin@FriendsOfTheNashuaRiverRailTrail.com.
