www.BikeSCOR.com
This recreational, non-competitive ride will take place on Saturday, November 5th and offers 35, 50 mile options as well as a Metric Century in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, new home to a Chris Carmichael Training Center. In fact, Kirk Nordgren from CTS will be speaking on the topic of "Strategies For Proper Training and Event Day Success" at a Carbo Loading Dinner on Friday evening, November 4th.
A BBQ lunch is available as well as a Bicycle Festival featuring over 25 cycling vendors, a live DJ and a beer garden after the ride. The entry fee includes a refrigerater magnet, letter opener, patch, packet of Chamois Butt'r, SAG stops, Roving mechanical support, goodie bag, HAM radio communication, SPIZ energy drink, Bib number and law enforcement controlled intersections.
Proceeds from this ride are donated to three children's summer camps for kids with congenital heart defects (Camp Bon Couer, Camp Del Corizon and Camp Taylor), all three of whom offer summer camping experiences for children with cardiac conditions who otherwise would be unable to participate in these kinds of activities due to their heart problems. All three as well as our club are 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations.
For a flyer or more information, call (562) 690-9693 or visit our website above.
