2014 Solvang Century, Metric or Half Century
This is one of the "granddaddy" Century rides on the West Coast being the 32nd Annual and starting and finishing in downtown Solvang, California.
The 2014 version of this event will take place on March 8th and will include 100 mile, 63 mile 0r 50 mile route options in the scenic and 90% rural
Central Coast/Santa Ynez Valley area. The ageless John Howard will be our guest speaker on Friday evening and his talk " Cycling War Stories"
is included in the entry fee. The first 200 entrants will have the opportunity to ride with John, who at age 65 is still competing and
beating Cat 1 racers! This year's ride is limited to the first 3000 entrants, so do not dawdle and get your entry in!
We have also been granted permission to use 13 miles of the Vandenberg Air Force Base for the Century route and will have a bar-coded
bib number for rapid and easy access onto the base.
The Hotel Corque is the official hotel of the event and Platinum Packages that include a room at this hotel with entry fee, jersey, BBQ
lunch and 5 raffle tickets are available by calling our office at (562) 690-9693.
Like our Solvang Prelude ride, proceeds from this ride go to Camp del Corazon as well as Camp Bon Couer and Camp Taylor, all three
being children's congenital heart disease camps.
