Advice needed for UK to Morocco Charity Cycle Tour.

Hello every one, in search of some useful advice. A friend and myself are cycling from Glastonbury to Morocco this summer (august 2014) via a ferry from Weymouth -> St Malo.

My most immediate question is: has anyone camped in St Malo whilst on a tour. Our problem will be that we arrive pretty late (8pm) and therefore wont have long enough to cycle out of the city and pitch up before the light fades. Anyone had a similar problem?

Secondly, has anyone done a similar route and could maybe offer any advice? Our route so far is down the west coast of France, cross the pyrenees, through the centre of Spain and eventually hitting gibraltar. Any advice on the best roads/ routes to use in either France or Spain.

Any help that you might think is useful would be great. We hope to raise nearly 7,000 for charity.
