This is my first attempt at using a thing i enjoy to really actually help others. If it goes well i will do a LOT more.

I am in the route selection process, which means i need to find a safe route to ride. As my username suggests, i am into transit, railroads, etc, so i'm thinking i might ride from one SEPTA train station to another one or something like that. Depending on specifics, it may be a longer one way route, or a more moderate round trip.

I have selected start and return points for the route. I need to test ride the whole distance at least once to make sure my bike can do it (i know i can) and to check road conditions and traffic patterns so i do not get hung up doing it for real. I am currently asking around for a single support vehicle in case something goes wrong. It's a 22 mile round trip, which i am going to try and extend to get to 26.2+ with some fiddling of certain points, mostly near the start and returning to finish.

I am going to be using map my ride, so sponsors, or anyone else interested can follow me on facebook. I am going to set the app to send updates at timed intervals.

Have finalised a round trip route, 15.2 miles one way, for a total of 30.4 total length. Will upload the route data here & on my page.
